"A Balance Between" opens at Goggleworks

"A Balance Between," featuring Stephanie Lauretano, Kerry St. Laurent, and Wendy Wolf opened at the Cohen Gallery at Goggleworks in Reading, PA on January 11, 2014. A successful reception the night before on January 10 showcased the way the work of these artists complement each other.

In “A Balance Between,” each artist addresses her personal relationships with her external world. This personal connection takes different forms for each of them, but inherent in their works is a connection with nature through the materials used, visual inspirations, and the physical environments in which the work exists. A thread of continuity in thought unite their work. Kerry St. Laurent’s delicate ink drawings, Wendy Wolf’s large scale installations involving thread and reproduced hand-cut leaves, and Stephanie Lauretano’s layered unconventional surface alterations all deal with a delicate balance between process and the individual.
