In Halo, a young girl coping with loss is visited by a majestic white dog who takes her on an adventure. Although the story calls the afterlife “heaven,” Halo is otherwise non-denominational with broad spiritual undertones, and draws from near-death accounts from all over the globe.

This story focuses on rich imagery, an inclusive and loving point of view, and a narrative that can stand on its own. The goal is for Halo to be less educational and more an open-ended source of comfort and inspiration that can help foster dialogues in which adults can answer questions about death and spirituality as they see fit.

A Modern Disease

Kerry St. Laurent is a visual artist from Western Massachusetts who lingers in the spaces between realism and abstraction, chaos and meticulous detail.  Life-curious and death-casual, her mixed-media work references nature, mapping, microbiology, architecture and memory, deconstructing the subjective lens and presenting impermanence as the grand unifier. // learn more //

Bonding x Maggie Siebert

A series of small-scale ink pieces respond to Maggie Siebert’s provoking and jarring collection of short stories called BONDING. I call 'em "when-ya-know-ya-know illustrations"- abstract at first glance, but quite literal if you've read the stories. // view the collection //
